Research is an important part of the work of Clapham Connections. It was
an important part of the work of Wilberforce and the Clapham Sect in the
18th century. Slavery was the high-profile issue in which they were involved
but there were also about 70 issues to which they devoted time and attention.
With each of these they undertook research to ensure that they had a good
command of the facts of the situation before embarking upon any campaign
of social change.
Clapham Connections not only carries out its own research (click here)
but also works with a number of organizations that investigate social
issues (click here). We do not believe in duplicating effort so we are
happy to benefit from the research facilities and reports from others.
We are also happy to share our findings with those who wish to use our
reports for initiating policies of creative social change.
