February 2008: The Garden Wood Snowdrops in their prime!

Our Snowdrop Week for 2008 was held from Saturday 2nd February to Sunday 10th February.

We are very grateful to the 3000 people who visited us, and hope you will be back to enjoy the bluebells!

Here's the record of the snowdrop's lifespan during this winter! We will provide a similar service next year to let you know exactly when they are likely to be at their best.

Jan 3rd: First shoots breaking through the ground!
Jan 16th: First buds starting to appear, we should be on target for Feb 2nd; however, ground very damp.
Jan 22nd: Snowdrops starting to look lovely, should be at their best during first part of Snowdrop Week!
Feb 1st:Snowdrops looking wonderful, just approaching full bloom.
Feb 8th:At their best . . . .particularly with the weather!
Feb 13th:Still looking good . . . woods still open for anyone to come and see them.
Feb 21st:Just pass their best, they've lasted well this year, but they're being forced to make way for the daffodils!.
